Romantic Restaurants in the Malvern Hills

L’amuse Bouche was crowned Worcestershire’s Restaurant of the Year in 2016, 2017 and 2019 – and it’s easy to see why. Set in a gorgeous Victorian gothic building in the heart of the Malverns, there’s no better place to wine and dine your other half. They offer a taste of French-style cuisine in a quintessentially English setting, with its elegant interior boasting high ceilings and far-reaching views across the beautiful gardens.

Mulberry Tree is a contemporary and elegant restaurant situated in the Mount Pleasant Hotel, Great Malvern. The menu offers delicious delicacies created by a rosette-winning chef, as well as a vast array of local, gins and wines. They offer exquisite culinary creations alongside views over the Vale of Evesham towards the Cotswolds, providing the ideal setting for a romantic candle-lit dinner with your significant other.

Whisk your other half to Peppe’s for an authentic taste of Italy in Great Malvern. This family-owned, independent restaurant serves delicious, freshly prepared dishes with Italian, Mediterranean and Sicilian influences, as well as an extensive selection of exotic wines and spirits. They provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphere with fantastic service to guarantee a truly unforgettable date night.

Aldwyn’s at Ellerslie is a modern restaurant, bar and bistro that specialises in afternoon tea, cocktails, lunches, and dinners. Treat your significant other to some delicate finger sandwiches and mouth-watering home-baked cakes or opt for one of their British staple dinner dishes. This unique and beautiful venue is situated in the magnificent Grade II building of Ellerslie, just a stone’s throw away from Malvern town centre.

The Swan Inn is hailed as Worcestershire’s best gastropub, providing the perfect opportunity for a romantic date night. This prestigious local pub is situated in the picturesque village of Hanley Swan, overlooking the village green and duck pond. They are passionate about serving delicious food at affordable prices, with their dedicated chefs transforming the finest locally sourced ingredients into showstopping dishes.

Romantic Restaurants Further Afield

For a more laid-back and relaxed affair with your partner, head to The Butcher’s Arms for tasty pub grub in a cosy and intimate setting. This 16th Century rural public house boasts low ceilings, wooden floors, roaring fires, and real ale – not to mention the high quality seasonal British food on offer. Their menus showcase seasonal fresh food at its best, as well as daily changing real ales served straight from the cask.

The Boathouse is Worcestershire’s finest Mediterranean tapas restaurant and wine bar. Overlooking the river in Upton-upon-Severn with far-reaching views of the beautiful Worcestershire countryside, it’s the perfect place to take your beau for a truly delectable date night. Indulge in their great selection of crisp white wines and aromatic reds with your dinner before heading down to the gin and cocktail bar to try out their extensive range of 80+ gins.

The Moody Cow in Upton Bishop is the ideal venue to wine and dine your significant other. Their talented chef creates innovative dishes cooked from scratch with passion and care, using only the freshest local ingredients. It’s no wonder they were listed in the Michelin guide in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018! Aside from their fantastic food, they also serve a variety of popular real ales, continental lagers, local ciders, and carefully selected wines from all over the world.

The Verzon House Hotel showcases the very best food and drink that Herefordshire has to offer. Their culinary creations include light bar bites through to restaurant favourites and seasonal specials, whilst the bar serves Herefordshire beers, ciders, and specially mixed cocktails.
